Chelsea won the game against Leicester City although having 10 men on the pitch. Conor Gallagher was sent off for collecting two bookings before the half-hour mark. Raheem Sterling becomes the hero as he scored two goals to give Blues an important 3 points.
Gallagher takes out Harvey Barnes to halt a Leicester counterattack. It seems like the home team suffering to stop Leicester’s attack. The first half ended with a 0-0 draw with City dominating the game.
Just after 2 minutes of the second half, Raheem Sterling breaks the deadlock to give Chelsea the lead. This is the first goal of Sterling in the Blues shirt. In the 63rd minute of the game, Sterling doubles the lead. After 3 minutes, Harvey Barnes gives City a little hope which is not enough to get a point at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea’s next game is away to Southampton on 31 August and Leicester City’s next game is at home against Manchester United on 2 September.
