He started his career with the Portuguese top team, Sporting CP but later reached his height with United. He got his hands on the trophy for the first time in 2001 as he won the Campeonato Baiano and Copa do Nordeste. At that time, he was just 18 years old and since then it has just increased more. Next, he joined Sevilla in 2002 but had to wait before he grabbed his first trophy with the club, UEFA Cup in 2005/06.
