Manchester United has finally found an agreement in principle worth €100million for Ajax superstar Antony. After rejecting three bids, AFC Ajax has decided to sell their starman Antony at a record fee for any Eredivisie player.
Antony was not included in AFC Ajax’s lineup to face FC Utrecht on Sunday, 28th August amid the transfer to English giants Manchester United.
The Amsterdam club will receive a total of €100million which includes the add-ons from United. The 22- years old Brazilian forward was Erik Ten Hag’s top priority ever since the transfer window opened.
But Ajax insisted on a €100 million fee which they’re finally receiving. Antony also expressed the desire to leave Ajax for Man United in an exclusive interview with journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United was pushing for Antony even this late in the window because of the uncertain future of their star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The transfer deal will be the biggest in Man United, AFC Ajax, and the entire Eredivisie’s history.
