Barcelona fans have chanted “Where is Mbappe?” outside of Camp Nou ahead of their Joan Gamper Trophy game against Mexican club Pumas UNAM, the club which Dani Alves joined recently.
The game ended 6-0 win for Barcelona in which Lewandoski scored his first goal for the Barca. Outside the stadium, Barca fans dissed Real Madrid by chanting “Where is Mbappe?” as Real couldn’t bring Kylian Mbappe to their club.
It was expected that the 23-years-old forward would join Real Madrid for the 2022/23 season but things didn’t go as expected. On 21 May 2022, Mbappe extended his contract with PSG until 2025 with a huge salary.
According to Sky Sports, the financial details of Mbappé’s contract include a monthly wage of £4 million, making him the highest-paid player in the world. It was said that he was a money player like Neymar.
