Former Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez joins Chelsea on loan. He has joined the Blues for a 1-year term.
The defending UEFA Champions League winner Chelsea has signed former Atletico midfielder Saul Niguez on loan. Both parties, Chelsea and Niguez have agreed to all the terms and conditions.
Saul was rumored to join Chelsea from the past few days, but it was not officially declared. He had his contract with Atletico Madrid until 2026.
Saul’s contract with Chelsea
As per Fabrizio Romano, a transfer expert, the transfer fee for Saul’s loan to Chelsea is set to be €5m. Saul will travel to England in the next few days to officially sign the contract. He has a 1-year contract with Chelsea.

Saúl to Chelsea, HERE WE GO! Agreement reached for €5m loan from Atletico Madrid. Personal terms agreed. Saúl will be in London soon to sign the contract.
However, there is no final confirmation as the official contract has not been signed yet. But, the deal is set to be completed soon.
Saul was trying to force his move out since the previous season. And he succeeds to do so on the final deadline day to the Blues. As Saul joins Chelsea, no doubt he will have a strong partnership with Kante and Jorginho in the midfield.

Recently, in August, they signed Lukaku from Inter Milan for a club-record fee of €115M (£97.5 M).
Chelsea is already a strong team to fear that beat Man City by 1-0 in the final of the UEFA Champions League. Now with the addition of striker Romelo Lukaku and versatile midfielder Niguez, they aim to win the Premier League this year.
