Earlier this transfer window, Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered a mega proposal to play in Saudi Arabia. One of the top clubs Al Hilal was willing to offer United a transfer fee of €30 million, which is more than what they paid Juventus to bring Ronaldo back to the Premier League last summer.
If Ronaldo agreed to the move, he can receive an eye-watering salary in the region of £105 million per year, meaning he ends up racking up £210 million over two seasons in Saudi. The package offered by the mega-rich club also includes £20 million in agent fees.
Cristiano currently earns £26.52 million per year at Manchester United. If the deal was agreed between two clubs, he could be the highest-paid footballer on the planet, and it could also see him earning more than Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar (currently the three highest-paid players in the world) combined!
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner wanted to out of Old Trafford this summer after Red Devils failed to qualify for the Champions League. Previously, Ronaldo was offered to Paris Saint-Germain by his agent Jorge Mendes, but the French champions rejected the possibility of signing the Manchester United forward. Bayern Munich also turned down the chance to take on the former Real Madrid and Juventus star, while Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel was not keen either.
The 37-year-old has missed the club’s pre-season training in Manchester due to personal/family reasons, and he also did not travel for the club’s pre-season tour of Thailand.
Cristiano played his first Europa League game in his entire career against Real Sociedad in a 1-0 defeat. What do you think Ronaldo should do next?

I think he should stay at MU. Don’t need the money. Saudi Arabia is far too hot and no so is your life for the family. I been there many times I know.
