After victories over Everton in the Merseyside derby and Newcastle United, one of the top four contenders, the Reds came into the game with a lot of confidence.

All was going well for Liverpool when Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah gave them a two-goal lead at Anfield, only for Real Madrid to mount a comeback and score a total of five goals.

In an interview with talkSPORT, the fan criticized Klopp’s recent performances and expressed his frustration, saying,

“He’s got no glasses, and to be honest, he’s just winding me up now. I see him clapping, playing with his zipper, not doing anything. Just get out.”

The fan went on to label Klopp as a “nostalgia merchant” and claimed that he was a good manager in the past, but his recent form was “horrific.” He argued that Klopp was “washed” and challenged anyone to name a top club that would still have him.

Some fans are worried about the German manager’s recent performance. Some speculate that this might be a manifestation of Klopp’s “seven-year curse,” as his seven-year reign at Borussia Dortmund also came to an unfortunate conclusion despite having a great career.

Although criticism is beginning to sprout, it doesn’t seem likely that Liverpool would think about firing Klopp given his record of success with the team, which includes guiding them to their first Premier League championship in 30 years in 2020.

But the recent defeat to Real Madrid has undoubtedly inflamed some fan resentment, and Klopp will undoubtedly face pressure to perform better in the season’s remaining games.
