English club Leicester City had little to no transfer movement in this transfer window, but they are now on the verge of signing the Brazilian and Real Madrid superstar Marcelo.
Spanish journalist Marti Miras reported the Premier League club is “extremely close” to signing Marcelo and is just waiting for the Brazilian to pass a physical.
After spending 15 years with Real, the 34-year-old left the club at the end of the previous campaign. He sat on the bench as they defeated Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Leicester’s manager Brendan Rodgers has expressed his feeling of wanting more players to strengthen and compete for the top 4 position.
