Game Summary
Both City and Chelsea had equal chances in the first half. Though City had more possession in the first half, both failed to make a real threat to their opponents. In the 33rd minute, Grealish and Rodri combined to hit the ball which Rudiger headed over the bar. Foden had a solid chance in the 41st minute which he struck with his left foot only to see it go wide. Other than that, Chelsea and City, both couldn’t take their chance.
Finally, Gabriel Jesus scored an opener to give the visitor an early lead. Jesus struck from the center of the box beating 3 Chelsea defenders and Chelsea’s goalkeeper Mendy to touch the net. They absolutely deserved the goal and take a lead in Stamford Bridge.
With the win, Manchester City climbed to the second of the table with 13 points with 6 matches played. Liverpool is the one who is leading the table with 5 matches played. Despite the loss, Chelsea still holds the 3rd position with the same point as Pep’s city.
