Defender Niklas Sule has been named German Harry Maguire by the former Dutch and Real Madrid midfielder Rafael Van Der Vart.
Germany has been knocked out from the group stage of the World Cup 2 times consecutively. Last night, though they managed the last win against Costa Rica, Japan’s controversial goal and surprising win against Spain ensured that Germany was kicked out of the tournament.
With the result, it is sure that Germans are not happy and most of the blame goes to the 4 defenders who showed nothing special throughout the tournament.
Rafael Called Out Niklas Sule
The former Real Madrid player, Rafael Van Der Vart has called out some big names in the team for their miserable performance in the tournament.
He openly called out Dortmund defender Niklas Sule for his miserable performance. And why would he not? Niklas had a game to forget. He had a very poor performance against Japan he was the one to be blamed for Morata’s goal too.
Former Dutch was fierce with Sule as he does not believe that the defender should be branded ‘World Class’. Rather he gave him a very funny comparison.
“Sule is not world-class. He is the German Harry Maguire.”
Though this is the first time, Rafael Van der vart has called out Sule, he has taken the name of Maguire on different occasions. He even claimed that, Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire is an amateur players as he stated,
“When I go to see an amateur club on Sunday I can find three players who can play like him.”
