Raheem Sterling’s second-half strike was enough to ensure that England kicked off Euro 2020 with a victory over Croatia. He scored in the 57th minutes of the game at Wembley.
Both teams played really well, both had chances but couldn’t find the net. Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden’s left-footed shot hits the right post in the 5th minute of the game. Croatia had a nice spell with the ball. The first half ended with a 0-0.
At the 57th minute, Phillips carries the ball ahead and passes it to Sterling who then slots it past Croatia goalkeeper Livakovic.
