Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has been punished by Erik Ten Hag by not including him in the squad to face Chelsea. The action was done as a result of Ronaldo leaving the stadium before the full-time whistle against Tottenham.
United’s official Response to Ronaldo
Manchester United hosted a game against Tottenham in the Gameweek 12 of the English Premier League. And the Reds produced an absolutely dominant performance as Erik Ten Hag’s side beat the opponent by 2-0 despite not starting Cristiano in the team.
However, Ronaldo did not play a single minute as he was excluded from the team. Reports even claim that the Portuguese forward refused to play as a substitute in the game. And in the 89th minute, the player even left the stadium as he was visibly seen leaving from the tunnel.
Manchester United has officially released a statement regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s status concerning discipline concerns. Prior to that, he was also left to train alone after the game against Tottenham.
