In the opening minutes, Wales was in control of the game in first 15 minutes. But the Danish side found the foot in the game just after that.

In the 27th minute, Kasper Dolberg fired a wonderful curling shot to give a lead against a Wales side. It ended 1-0 on the half with Denmark coming in total control after moving Andreas Christensen into holding midfield from the back three.

Dolberg scored another goal in the 48th minute to give Denmark the authority of 2 goals lead. Meanwhile, Joakim Maehle scored a fantastic goal in the top near post beating the Welsh Goalkeeper Ward.

At the dying 90+4th minute, Barcelona’s forward Braithwaite converted a low shot into the bottom corner. The goal was checked by VAR for a few minutes to confirm it was valid.

The victory means Denmark has now reached the quarter-finals of the Euros for just the third time in the last 33 years.

They are now also the first team to score 4+ goals in back-to-back matches in Euro Cup history. Wales was totally outclassed and outplayed by the better team.

Denmark will face Czech Republic or Netherlands in the quarter-finals.
