26 years old German forward is finally set to return to his former club RB Leipzig after having an unsuccessful spell in England with Chelsea. The move will be a permanent deal instead of a loan.
Timo was left off of the Chelsea matchday squad for their 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday due to his links and talks with the German side RB.
A lot of good business has happened lately at the Leipzig following the signing of David Raum and the extension of Christopher Nkunku’s contract. Now Werner’s return means RB really had a fantastic transfer window.
According to the sources, the move is set to be permanent and not the loan. However, the details including the fee and salary of the deal are yet to be revealed. Leipzig and agents agreed to Werner’s personal terms about a month ago.
Werner had already admitted his desire to move away from the London against Chelsea given his lack of game time and form. And now his wishes are finally coming true.
